Baby Talk - Alternative Easter Egg Fillings

I am so missing my studio families! Hope all are safe and healthy. I wish that we could have had some
spring outdoor photo sessions, but we will catch up in the fall.

With this being Easter week, I know that many families are exploring ways to celebrate, while not being able to leave the house. Easter egg hunts are great fun! My sisters and I loved them when we were growing up. Some of our hunts had to be held in the house, because when Easter came in March it was still winter in New York! As you plan for your egg hunt, I know that you will be looking to fill your Easter eggs with things other than candy.

Here are some fun things to consider as Easter egg fills.

  • Jewelry and Hair Accessories – stretchy bracelets, earrings (pierced and stick-on), play rings, hair clips, ponytail holders, hair bows
  • Inside Fun – stickers, alphabet magnets, temporary tattoos, legos, play dough, rubber stamps, puzzle pieces, fun-shaped erasers, doll clothes, hot wheel cars
  • Outside Fun – mini-bottles of bubbles, bouncy balls, glow sticks, water balloons, sidewalk chalk
  • Projects – baking ingredients (chocolate chips, sprinkles, mini-cupcake wrappers, recipes), seed packets (flowers or vegetables)

What suggestions do you have for non-candy Easter egg fillings? Please, share.
