Talking Tails - Thanksgiving Dog Treats

Welcome back to Talking Tails!

It’s November and that means that Thanksgiving is just around the corner! We may not celebrate with our extended families this year due to the pandemic, but those we are with will certainly serve all the delicious Thanksgiving dishes. Oh, the smells are amazing! Remember though that some of the dishes are just not good for our tummies. If you need a refresher, please, check out one of our past blog posts: https://www.reflectionsbyrhiannon.com/blog/talking-tails-111417.

Mom and Grandma make me Thanksgiving treats using some of the “safe” Thanksgiving foods. This makes me feel a part of the celebration! I am sharing my five favorites recipes. I do want to note that pumpkin puree is fine for us; mom should not be baking for us with pumpkin pie filling.

If your mom is short on time, the No-Bake Pumpkin Treats are perfect. The recipe only requires three ingredients and can be made fancy using a paw mold. How can you beat that? Click here for the recipe!

Pumpkin Treats do have to be baked in the oven, but the wait is worth it! These can be cute if mom uses a bone-shaped cookie cutter, but I would even eat them just rolled out and flattened! The extra bonus is that the treats are topped with a peanut butter drizzle. Oh my…

Peanut Butter and Sweet Potato Treats introduce another Thanksgiving food. These treats do need to be popped in the oven, but can also be frozen for up to six months. Imagine the tantalizing taste of sweet potato in May or June! Click here for the recipe!

Peanut Butter and Pumpkin Treats, need I say more? You may be noticing a recurring peanut butter theme in my choices. Yep, one of my favorite things! Click here for the recipe!

Pumpkin Pupcakes are super fancy and very tasty. These are perfect for celebrating a birthday, special occasion, or just having the gang over. Did I mention they are served with peanut butter whipped cream frosting? Click here for the recipe!

Hope you have a safe and delicious Thanksgiving!
Talk to you soon!
Joey
