This week I am highlighting a family who has allowed me to share in their recent life events. It is such an honor that they placed their trust in me to capture these milestones, as many of these images will be shared and passed down for generations.I had the pleasure of meeting Heather and Thomas in the fall of 2011, as an engaged couple. We had so much fun planning and shooting their engagement portraits, including an on-location with their motorcycle on a parking garage roof and the Charlotte skyline serving as a backdrop! Isabella and Caitlin, their adorable dogs, were part of the shoot.
Their summer 2012 wedding was beautiful, and I was so pleased to be a part of their special day. Isabella and Caitlin, of course, were included in the day and the images – their red leashes matching Heather’s red shoes! Their wedding day images will always remind Heather and Thomas of the love that surrounds them from family and friends.
Fast forward a few years, and in the spring of 2015 I was delighted to receive a call from Heather saying that they were starting a family. Their maternity images are striking, as we were able to take advantage of that small window in time when the peach trees were in bloom.
Ian, their adorable baby boy, is flanked by Isabella and Kaylin, his “big sisters,” in several of the newborn portraits. One of the most amazing images, however, is Ian nestled in his daddy’s motorcycle helmet, linking back to his parents’ engagement portraits.
It has been a pleasure and an honor to work with Heather and Thomas…beautiful couple, beautiful family, inside and out. This is why I love my job!
